Traveling Through Civil Rights
Overview
Students will travel through 5 stations with 5 different teachers (or can be taught as a 5-day unit with one teacher) to learn about the Civil Rights Movement. Teachers can dress up like a famous Civil Rights Leader and lead the lesson as if it were that person telling the story of the Civil Rights Movement.

Students will learn about Civil Rights through Primary Sources and Arts Integration
SC Standards
5-5.3 Explain the advancement of the modern Civil Rights Movement; including the desegregation of the armed forces, Brown v. Board of Education, the roles of Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, the Civil Rights Acts, and the Voting Rights Act.
